MARY L. VACHON
Aunt Mary Vachon passed away on Thursday Aug 30th at 8:15 in the evening at Grey Stone nursing home. She was raised in Fort Wayne IN and was a member at St. Joseph Church on Brooklyn Ave for all of her life. She also found a love for Grace Christian Church on Reed Rd in the later years of her life.
Great Mary had a great love for hockey. Up until the last two year she was the oldest Komet Hockey season ticket holder but because of her health see was unable to keep attending.
Mary Lou was the matriarch of the Vachon family. She was a mother figure to two of her niece’s Mary E Lupica and Patricia A Galloway. She was an aunt and known as Aunt Mary to many kids and friends. She helped raise many nieces and nephews which all surround her when she took her last breath. Rest in Peace with Christ Aunt Mary.
Services will be at Grace Christian Church 2727 Reed Rd on Tuesday September 4th at 11:30am. The family will receive friends from 9:30am to 11:30am, lunch will immediately follow the service, then a procession to St. Aloysius Cemetery for burial.
