I never knew my grandfathers but when I married into the Minick family I loved Robert to pieces and he was so accepting of me even after the marriage ended. I loved him like my own blood and heaven has Truely gained an angel. My condolences to the family.

My condolences to your family on the passing of Bob. Bob was in all my grade school classes at St. John's New Haven starting from first through 8th grade and was in my graduating class at Central Catholic. I use to see him at the grocery stores when he was delivering Pepsi. His dad and my dad and us kids buzzed a lot of wood years ago. My dad had the buzz saw on the back of our Ford tractor.

My father was an amazing man. I remember growing up thinking he was the strongest and bravest man alive. He worked hard and always made sure we had what we needed. He was an amazing Grandpa and my children will miss him terribly.
My father instilled great Catholic values in me and my faith in God wouldn't be what it is today without his influence. I am grateful for that because it is my faith in God that has helped me hold myself together the last couple months. Losing him leaves a big void in my life but also joy in my heart because I know he is with God in heaven, finally home.
My father used to say, "The only reason you're in this world is to get to heaven. This life is just a blink, eternity is forever. Choose wisely."
Enjoy your eternity Dad. I love you and miss you, One day we will meet again. Meet me at the gates.
