Daniel E. Doak

70, of Fort Wayne, passed away on August 1, 2021 peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Dan retired from the CSX Railroad with 38 years of service. He was a member of Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church. He was known for his quick wit and sense of humor. He loved music, sports, cooking on the grill, spending time with his family and was a long-time season ticket holder with the Indianapolis Colts.

Dan was the oldest of 13 children and will be dearly missed by all of his family. He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 51 years Suzanne, daughter Danielle Doak Gleason (Craig Hernandez), grandchildren Keenan, Liam, and Ivy, siblings Tim (Christine), Kate, Ed (Pamm), Tess, Paul (Cheryl), Pete (Glenna), Phil (Patty), Marty (Lynn), Andy (Julie), Rita (David Brockhouse), Angie (David Derloshon), Christian (Dawn), his very close cousin Joe Doak, and 28 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Carol Doak.

There will be a funeral mass at Saint Patrick’s Catholic church and a celebration of his life announced at a later date due to COVID-19 precautions.
