Doris M. Poling

81 passed away at home on Saturday July 3, 2021 with her family by her side. She was born November 12, 1939 to the late Everett and Leona (Kleist) Dowden. She married Dale Poling on December 29, 1962. He preceded her in death on August 16, 1985.

She worked in retail management at Barrett’s in Waynedale, King’s in New Haven, and Hooks in Fort Wayne. For many years, she attended Love Church, Fort Wayne, and worked in the Food and Clothing rooms.

Survivors include her four children Chris Poling, Jim (Beth) Poling, Terry Poling, and Roxanna Tuttle, all of Fort Wayne. Three grandchildren, Jeff, Ashley, and Erin, several great grandchildren, and a brother, Jerry Dowden.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and several brothers and sisters. Preferred memorials may be made in memory of Doris to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Riley Children’s Hospital.
