SUSAN "SUZY" KAY SCHAFER

On Sunday, September 8, 2019, Susan "Suzy" Kay Schafer (69), mother, grandmother, and sister passed away peacefully in her home in Ft. Wayne, IN.

She was born to Richard and Maxine Schafer on July 15, 1950. She was the older sister to Steve Schafer (deceased), Carol Laughlin of Ft. Wayne, IN, and Jan Schafer of Cincinnati, OH. She was a dedicated mother to two children and two grandchildren. She was always known for her love of chocolate, Elvis, history, butterflies, and, most notably, her pets.

Suzy is survived by her children Melinda (Mindy) Baldwin of Ft. Wayne, IN and Joshua (Stephanie) Baldwin of Columbus, OH and her grandchildren Christian Rudolph and Maddison Smith both of Ft. Wayne, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather Dick Cameron, and her brother.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 am, Saturday, September 21, 2019 at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Road with visitation preceding from 10 am to 11 am.
